Can Meraki act as a Radius server? Or does Meraki only point to her 3rd party Radius servers.

A little bit of both.

You can use your own RADIUS server for 802.1X authentication. But there is also the Meraki-hosted RADIUS authentication for wireless authentication when using the Systems Manager.

I expect to see a Cloud NAC solution anytime in the future (a menu entry was visible in a CiscoLive session). But I wouldn't wait for that. Can happen tomorrow, next year, or never ... 😉

Hi Karsten

thank you for the response Please note I have removed the Systems Manager in the client environment because they didn't renew the license for it, so if I want to use the Meraki-Hosted Radius how to go about it.

and any other info i can use for the client to use it efficiently?

If you don't have the Meraki Systems Manager, you can't use Meraki-hosted RADIUS. It's that easy.

Either buy the licenses again, set up your own RADIUS, or use a cloud-hosted RADIUS like JumpCloud (only as an example; there are also others), which also costs licenses.

I wrote a little bit about my exam here: https://cyber-fi.net/index.php/2020/10/08/the-cisco-meraki-solutions-specialist/

Take the Blueprint and make sure that you know all the topics. For topics with a higher weight, read *all* Documentation on the Meraki site and do as many labs as possible.

The Training ECMS-2 from one of the Cisco Learning Partners can likely help you if you are in a hurry.
