Good timezone to you!

Hi, I'm Chris from the UK.

Currently working in the Infrastructure team of a regulatory body in the UK, and looking to expand our Meraki infrastructure within the company (we are due a complete network refresh).

I've been working with Meraki kit for around 9 years now, so fairly familiar, but also excited to learn more about some of the newer technologies that have been recently released!

I've worked in the IT sector for nearly 25 years, and seen huge improvements in the way we are able to monitor and manage our infrastructure. Complete ecosystems are now built around one simple key - usability.

I hope I'll be able to aid others, and lean on the experts when needed.

Thanks for the warm welcome 🙂

At the moment we have MX appliances securing our remote sites, and a selection of MS switches in our London office.

I'm looking to push us down the route of full adoption in our main office when we refresh our switches and wifi APs.

I'm also trying to push our facilities team to adopt the cameras for security, and possibly a selection of sensors to do some trick things with energy saving.

Its all a big if at the moment, as all work is contigent on budgets (which are always getting tightened), but as we all do, I have to stay hopeful!

Sounds like you have a good plan there @ChrisHead.  The good thing with Meraki, as you know, is that you can migrate different parts at a time and still get at least some of the visibility improvements, though it's generally better to move a site's wireless all at once!
