I helped out with my High School’s IT over those 4 years, assisting with regular stuff and installing 3C905C NICs into HP desktops during summer lab replacements. I went to College and got a Bachelor’s in PoliSci thinking I’d go to Law School but didn’t like how that worked when I actually got in, said nah, got one job as the IT Manager for a small non profit and then 8 months later moved onto where I’ve been for 17 years, at a medium sized MSP. I was hired as a generic tech but a week in the existing network person was let go and I said I know some stuff, which was apparently more than anyone else. That slowly morphed into today’s role where I handle our highest level of internal support and installation work with my one co-worker and then do all of our networking Pre-Sales, and then several other random things like internal IT, and managing portions of our other vendor relationships.

Non technically, I’m almost 40, live in Baltimore, MD with, at the moment, one cat. I love foodie stuff and use 99% of my PTO to travel, and will hit countries 28 and 29 this year. It’s not a vacation if I don’t walk around 50 miles in a week of it!"
