Resize VMX Azure

Wondering if anyone has resized there vmx in azure down to a lower spec machine than the one that came from the market place, The built in recommendations for azure has been nagging to down grade it from d2_V2  to D1_V2, this would half its running costs so would be a 50% saving so would be extremely happy to do it.

It wont let you resize it.

it certainly will let you do it.

anyways support have came back and said we can't guarantee that the VM will be working properly after downsizing

Same Azure Advisor recommendation here, resizing to D1 V2.

This is blocked because of the Deny Permission

"System deny assignment created by managed application /subscriptions/XXXXXXX"
