Re: Windows 10 Profile & Agent duplicate devices?

We are seeing this as well but it's intermittent. Seems if we do the install agent first, then profile, we'll sometimes see duplicate entries, and then it clears itself up. For some systems, for whatever reason, it leaves the duplicates in.   Ran into errors trying to do profile first on a few test systems so just decided to go with agent first and sort out any duplicates that come up manually. Though it would be nice if there was an option to "merge" duplicates. ... View more

Have used this on a few test devices and it works as advertised - we've had devices get a prompt to install available updates. However, it only seems to work if Meraki SM has either installed the app itself or has been allowed to take over management of the app. Also it didn't seem to respect the test device's setting to not use cellular data for app store stuff, so if you're forcing this on BYOD users, you may want to hold off on enabling it to avoid burning through data allowances. I'd emailed support about it and they said they hadn't seen that yet, so I just "made a wish" for it. ... View more

Where is the setting located for Mac OS? I can't find it in any of the available options. Also can't find it for Windows, but our Windows systems can at least have it enforced via GPO. ... View more

Felix, did you ever get this figured out? Trying to do the same as a prereq for deploying a VPN profile and despite the presence of the required apps on the test systems it isn't seeing them. I don't know if I'm formatting the app names incorrectly or what. But here's a for instance: Having it look for the Meraki SM app on a Mac, I can select the client and clearly see "Meraki Systems Manager Agent" on the list of installed applications. I've tried all of these in a policy and they all show non-compliance: OSX: Meraki Systems Manager Agent OSX: Meraki Systems Manager Agent.app OSX: Meraki* OSX: m_agent (the running service name) Same on a Windows test system when trying Windows: Meraki* Windows: m_agent_service Windows: m_agent* Wondering at this point if it's a bug and I should just contact support, but thought I'd check here before opening a case and see if I'm just doing something wrong. ...
