Try IKEv2? We were having similar issues with connection into AWS and came down to one side being route based and the other policy based. I think the Meraki is policy based when on IKEv1 but it will use router based with IKEv2. I would have to go back and find the doc. We switched to IKEv2 and link popped right up?

I always thought ACLs were only processed for traffic entering / leaving the interface where they are applied. Anything on the same wire / same VLAN would not pass through the ACL. Brent

In the non-Meraki managed stack I can set the switch priority so that the same switch is always the master and there is a pecking order for if that switch goes off line. Does the Meraki Managed flavor have that same capability? Brent

Sinelnyyk, That is what we are trying. Z3 connected to MX_A that is non-meraki VPN connected the MX_B in a different org. Trying to get Z3 access to network behind MX_B. We were thinking it was something routing related as the MX_B network was not in the route table on the Z3 but is on MX_A. easiest test would be to go the VPN tunnel route between Z3 and MX_B. if we get this working they will have three others in the same situation. OK .. odd routing question .. I have a location that has an established non-Meraki VPN peer. Just an FYI the peer on the other end is Meraki but it is in a different organization. One of the address spaces in this peer is say 192.168.56.0/24. I have a Z3 that we setup with a space of 10.148.109.0/24 in the Lab. We are trying to get from the Z3 devices across the non-meraki VPN peer to a device in the 56.0/24 space. At the moment this is not working. I think we just need a route on the other side of the peer pointing towards us or does this actually need to be defined as part of the peer? First time I have had anyone ask for access like this. Usually it has just been local over the peers. Thoughts .. Brent

My Renewal is up for the Z1s that are in my environment. My vendor quoted my a 1 YR renewal since they are on the EoL list for July 2025. What happens after July 2025? I am guessing it just loses support / replacement but will still continue to work? Brent

As far as we know the tunnel is working fine. I have green lights for status and I can ping across it. We just had someone come to us saying the access to our ERP system was seeing excessive errors and the errors they are seeing happen on lesser quality networks. They were asking for a review of packet loss and latency across the link. I unfortunately only have visibility of this side of the link as the other side is in a different organization.

That is just it .. everything for a single day or for the past week has all been green. Thee are other Meraki devices such as Z1s or Z3s that are connected and have nothing from those end users. I was hoping to be able to isolate the specific tunnel and see if it would give me any usage or latency details as they say high latency would cause the issues they are facing.

Hello, Relatively new to the Meraki word and the MX devices. We created a site -to-site tunnel with an MX in another organization. The users have reported issues accessing resources on our end and trying to see what details we can get on the link. The VPN status usage & Latency on the MX seems to be an overall and seem to be unable to drill down into details on the specific peer link. Have I just been missing where to look?

Hello, New to Meraki and completely new to the switch line. we have a location that we have acquired that is a complete Meraki shop. They have a MX-84 that in turn has several MS120s attached. The MX has several VLANs that they use internally today. We are a complete Cisco ship and in the process of migrating them over to our corporate network. We will now have the SD-WAN device with a Catalyst c9300 as the core with all the associated VLAN definitions. We were told there would be no issue in the VLAN changes and getting everything to play well. I have been researching more details in exactly how to make this happen. Seems the VLAN / VTP is a bit different on the Meraki side from what I am used to on the Catalyst side. So far I have come across the following document about Integrating MS access into Cisco VTP and this make it look like I simply make sure pruning is off? Do I simply define the trunk port on the Catalyst like I normally do and connect to the Meraki and have access to VLANs defined? Any reference docs or anything to help me further figure this out? I guess a temp solution would be to reconfigure the MX to connect to the SD-WAN box and turn off firewall functions and the like? Kinda in a brainstorm optional design type mode in figuring this out.
