So basically forget the OTV reverse the position of the Switches. The Meraki MS would be a the network border and the 7700 would be the core switch. So it's kind of like a leaf and spine configuration. Except the leaf is the MS at the network edge and the spine is a 7700 series?

Ronderos, If I'm reading the diagram correctly basically it consists of using a Nexus 7k at the network border. I'm guessing we're using something similar to OTV similar to how you use it for DCI? However it works that's going to give us the the information for the IP tags that will be fed to the Access Switch Say a MS 350. Then we use 802.1x?

We actually are since with VPLS like MPLS you can do a spoke and hug setup. So that wouldn't be an issue we can actually guarantee data travels across the carriers fiber back bone anyway. That's the only way you could do warm spare for DCI otherwise the Switches fail over constantly.

Philip what I mean is let's say that you have a cloud setup. You have a primary facility in Philadelphia your secondary facility is Chicago. Let's say that customers 1 2 3 4 all have their own servers. They are on ports A B C D on a MS 350. Customer A server fails can we send customer A over to the Chicago facilities MS 350 without having to fail over the whole switch? In other words can you do Warm Spare on a port level? Or just on the whole switch level?

We're on a VPLS circuit so the MAX doesn't have the QoS settings we need. So I'm using either a ISR 4451 or an ASR 1000 series. Probably the ISR because it's PnP but I don't know if it can perform everything we need it to do yet.

Ok we're designing a network using a MX450, MS 425, MS 350. I'm curious can the Warm Spare VRRP protocol be used for DCI on a WAN consisting of VPLS? Is there a way to design the switch setup to do fail over at the port level? So if a single port or server goes down it can be routed automatically without moving the whole switch?

We're currently building out a network infrastructure based on Cisco Meraki. Our Switches are MS425's and MS350's we will be using the MX450 with advanced Security license. Anyway I was just wondering if the idenity based access features on the MX450 can replace ISE?
