Manually changing them isn't the answer when you have thousands of clients and hundreds added every year. You can change the client names by leveraging the API calls. I still see this as a work around and not a fix. Since my clients are running dhcp, I wouldn't pull a list of clients from DNS and just run with it. I would interrogate the client to verify there identity, then make the API call. This is a complicated way of completing this task across multiple subnets compared to checking a radio button to change the priority on the admin page. It would be easier to manage if the admins could change the priority of how the DNS names were chosen vs. making an API call. Meraki support, I request someone put in this request so admins as myself and others here can reclaim our time for other tasks assigned to us.
