Well my devices are quite accurate and track location very well. I am asking for a simple switch on geofencing to make an identified area a No-Go zone. Right now, you can only make areas a Go-zone and everything not identified is a no-go zone.

The Geofences themselves don't update. Its the device that sends the current location. Its constantly sending the location. I set the grace period for when the device leaves its assigned areas to 30 minutes.

Weird, I was able to get the profile to work without a problem. Android 7.1.1 Samsung Tab E. My production units are in Device Owner Kiosk Mode and its working amazing. No though process to get to the application the users need as well as no chance for them to do anything except work on the device.

I would like to make a suggestion for Geofencing. I would like to set zones that the driver should not enter for a certain amount of time. My company delivers all over the state of Florida, however, the drivers should never be in their neighborhood. The way I set it up now (Which is very tedious) is I locate the drivers residence on the map, then make the entire state of Florida (with multiple area point) his allowed area, and leaving about 150-300 meters around his residence blank (The no go zone). I think it would be simple to set a point area as a Not allowed. Let me know if there is another way to do this or maybe this is something that could be implemented.

Open a Case with Meraki, they will ask you to go through the whole setup process from start to finish in a video. However, they will look at your configuration first.

for AFW profile to work, there needs to be an associated Google or Meraki Managed account. A Meraki managed account is a gmail account that is linked to Meraki... i.e. *****@gmail.com. This will be associated with every device or you can create other ones. Once you enroll a device, then go to clients and associate the new device with the gmail account as device owner.

Thanks, I don't have any BYOD in my environment. However I did set it up once for testing. If you set the AFW (Google Email) on the Device and then push it, then go into Google Accounts on the Phone and manually enter the Email Account for AFW, I think that's how I got mine to work. Good Luck.

It looks like taking the tablets off kiosk and then updating the SM app from 4.0.3 to 4.0.5 did the trick. I haven't had a device go offline since.

Correct. But my devices are in Device Owner mode already. I think for some reason 3 of my tablets are running SM 4.0.3 when the latest version is 4.0.5 so I'm going to either upgrade them or reinstall and see what happens.

Thanks however there was a bug at the time of this post that was not allowing AFW to be deployed at all. They release a new version of the Manager with the fix. Its been working great and setting up real quick.

So I have had 4 tablets in the field for almost 2 weeks. I am noticing that the tablets seem to stop reporting to the Systems manager, (They appear offline when actually they have internet connection). I reboot the device and it comes back up reporting properly. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a case open? Android Tablets Samsung Tab E with ATT, Android 7.1.1

This would be great. Just like we can modify the splash page. I mean, I love cisco, but when my drivers make a delivery and the client sees a big ol cisco sign instead of our company logo it is not as sexy as it could be.

I opened a ticket as well. Case 02309495. I was able to get two devices to somehow enable the afw account (I kept attempting to manual add it and it took) but now on this third device it wont take at all.
