😁I forgot to add, with GMX, you will need to login into your account from the website, remote sync doesn't count as a connection. Otherwise, you account will be deactivate for inactivity (happen to me once !) I created a reminder in my agenda to login every 2 months and everything work fine eversince.

know it's an old message, but I notice that some device that was off on the shelf for quite some time have expired certificate, is it always the same thing, I have to re-enroll the device ? Kinda of weird to do this on all devices ?

Pretty simple. You know how to create a public contact folder in Exchange ? In the CalDav Sync Outlook add-on (https://caldavsynchronizer.org/) you configure it like this. Outlook must be running on your PC for it to work, but since in my case it's open 95% of the time !! You create a new profile and select And you enter you credential and you have an autodiscover option that will populate your URL (? I think, it's been 2 years) Then in Meraki, you create a profile with only contacts like this One thing that I have found... NEVER modify, update that profile once you push it to your device... once the account PSW is set in the device, updating the profile on the devices will require to enter manually the password on each device... and I guess you don't want to provide it to your users !! The only work around.... remove it from all the devices, and re-installing it does the job. It's like the iOS profile refuse to re-assign the PSW on an existing profile?! That should do it.

Old thread... I change to a free service called gmx.com that offers a CardDav. -I create on our Exchange server a public contact list -on my Outlook installed the free add-on CalDav synchronizer. Set up to sync one way from Exchange to GMX. Since user can edit contact on their phone, with a sync every 30mins, any changes will be overwrite with the sync. -Be sure to log online to GMX at least once every 2-3 months otherwise the account will be close and you can't gain access to the same email account after. Sync doesn't flag you as a connection. -create a profile with that GMX CardDav account in Meraki, and Voilà !!

Hi, I've beeing using a shared Google account for the past 2 years. In that account, I put all the contacts names that we share at the office. On our Exchange server, we have a share folder with contact. Using CalDav Synchronizer I sync one way that folder with a Google account. I created a mobileconfig file with Apple Configurator (with user/psw) and created settings profile and loaded that mobileconfig file. I push that to my iOS devices (used to work like a charm!) Yesterday, I needed to restore a device and assign it to a new user. It ask for the CardDav psw and generated a Security Alert on Google, even if I accept this activity as my own, It won't work on the device, contacts are no longer available on the devices. ALL of the others users also lost those contacts... can you image the problem today, none of the employees can see any internal, suppliers, customers contacts... I know I can't use the Google Account settings as it won't push the psw and I can't give away the psw to users, for obvious security reason !! 2 step verification is OFF each time I accept the suspicious activity, but it keep poping each time I reinstall the profile settings. I have to reinstall it each time, because once I click Cancel on the psw dialog on the device, it won't retry. And only once I press cancel that I receive the suspicious notification, So allowing it prior is not an option. 1- Why did it work for the past 2 years and stop ? 2- Any idea who to get it back ? 3- Any other cost free solution ? Thanks

Well I have the same question, the privacy policy SHOULD look like this (the 2 items checked) or not ? In my case, they are checked, but still I see in the user config as location disable. On device, app was allowed to track location all the time in privacy. User dashboard always show "approx" location using IP on most of the device... years ago I fixed that problem using Apple ID and register device with find my friend, disable modification of account, and that was the only reliable way to really track device, Apple FMF work every time. But it's more complicate to setup... and it will be useful to be able to track device from Chrome, not another ios Device. Thanks

Yep!! that's funny because the profile pages loaded with the new version, I already use the new version of the dashboard! I haven't see a per page "try new version" New the only problem is the mobile version of the site.... it need to be updated to work on mobile !! pages are to small, you zoom in and the left menu becomes way to big! Not design with bootstrap adaptative function !!

Well, I don't see that feature at all.... It says on new app, I deleted one (that was causing problem anyway) and re-added to the app list, but I don't see the check box to keep up to date. In my case, it was an old app, that from time to time the dev change the name and logo, on the device it was updated with the new logo and name... but the Meraki app dashboard keep using the old name and icon, no matter what I tried to update it. (By the way the app identifier stayed the same.) Now I delete it from my list and add the new name and on the phone, the old app didn't uninstall and now I can't manage the new (same!) app. 😞

In our case, I've created Apple ID for each device (since ios7, if you activate locate my iPhone with your employee's ID... you are stuck with a lock device unless the employee wants to unlock it, and after firing him... good look!!) Now Apple, with proof of purchase can unlock it for you, but still... I enter that information in the iCloud account and it will use it for the Find My Friend. This will make sure each device will have a full 5gig of backup storage. I then add those ID into my FMF app so I can track them with my iPhone, not the Meraki website (by the way is not adapted to work on mobile) Using supervised mode, I disable FMF modification, so they can't remove me 🙂 Unable the option to turn off location service, so they can't go ninja !! Employees don't get the psw for those ID and they all use 2 step authentication and my cell phone is the one used for that. This way, employee can use their own Apple ID in the App Store and I push our apps via VPP. The problem with the Meraki MDM app, it will ask at start up to allow location service... but eventually, it asks it again, it happens on my test device, "Do you still grant location tracking even if the app is not working"... so if your employee says NO... the Meraki app location becomes useless and anyway it's not updating regularly. I click "Refresh Location" and I refresh the page 5 mins after... the location is "updated by GPS about 1h ago" !! @PeterJames I've tested you lock device trick, in my case, it's not working. I left the device lock for 5 mins before unlocking it, refresh location, refresh web pages with force reload data... still location updated 1h ago.

Hi, I just open an old iphone 5S that was enroll last year and was left in the drawer. I then update the Meraki app to the latest version and sync it with the current settings and profile we have setup for this kind of device. When I go in Settings> General> Profiles> and choose MDM Meraki management >More details >Sign Certificates I see that the *.meraki.com certificate expired Sept 16-2016... Why ? and how to fix it ? I'm only assuming that this certificate was installed at the same time the device was enroll, so all of my device should have that problem, since all device are out of the office. Thanks

I totally get you, we also are small family business and I try to get all my working solution from free application, and I donate to developer when I really use and like the apps and it's working fine, bug free and he respond to feature request or fix bug. Is you app that expensive that you can't get it for 10 devices ?

I understand what you are trying to do, but the limit of 9 devices is for one user, you try to install 1 app that you purchase 1 licence into 10 users, that is against the basic rules of software licencing. If you have yourself 2-3 devices you can use the apps for yourself on 2-3 devices, but not sharing with 2-3 friends !
