Correct, use to do this before MX15 firmware and above. They appear to have removed a basic SD-WAN feature as there obviously wasn't a device/hardware limitation.

I have been able to fix the issue. My mistake was to think that if A is connected to B, and B is connected to C, A would be automatically able to use C resources. I had to add the A subnet in the remote subnets of C and it worked.

The security group rules need to allow both devices to talk to each other. Also you can have VPC security rules as well. Also MySQL can be restricted to only allowing accounts to be accessible from specific IP's. I imagine Aurora is similar. https://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/80701/how-to-allow-remote-connections-to-mysql-from-specific-ips-only It could be so many things.
