Has anyone figured this out yet? My fleet of chromebooks doesn't show their names, just the mDNS string of letters/numbers either. I've gone into my Google Admin portal and changed the hostname to be ${ASSET_ID}. I see it in the policy on the device itself, but under hostname it still says localhost and in my meraki board it still says the list of letters and numbers. Any ideas? Google support isn't any help. I sent them the JSON file for one chromebook to confirm its all programmed correctly but I found this board while I was searching to see what I'm missing on my Meraki side.
