I have tried converting existing SSID's over to WPA3. Once i have done this devices with the Intel AC8265 chipset will no longer connect, and if you google this it appears that they dont support WPA3. Unfortunately there are multiple trolleys full of the same laptop model on site!. All other devices seem fine (atleast once you go to MR 29.6.1 firmware!)

Yeah, thats what i'd like from "Transition" mode! - WPA3 only just for 6ghz. If catalyst supports it is this a setting that is likely to sneak into an MR firmware very soon?

I have recently installed some CW9166 6ghz access points. Would like to enable WPA3 to enable 6ghz operation, however there is no option to enable WPA3 transition mode when you are using Enterprise 802.1x security on an SSID. We have some devices with chipsets that dont seem to support WPA3, so when we move the SSID into native WPA3 mode these devices can no longer connect to it. Would like to avoid having to create a separate SSID for these devices if possible as that starts getting a bit messy to push out and manage. Is there any way around this problem or are there any plans for this config setting to be added within the dashboard?

I do a lot of heat load stuff for new buildings and generally give them these numbers from the datasheet as 'max heat gain' values. In cases where I get further questions or this number ends up looking stupid (often we end up using a lot of UPOE mgig switching without a big POE load on it) I also provide an an 'estimated heat gain' figure which is a proportion of the max one.

I found this thread as I wanted to do similar. I have just bought two different types of 'cisco SFP-10G-T-S compatible' 10gbase-T copper GBICs and they both work fine in MS225-24P, 48 and 48LP switches. I am linking them back to an mGig port on an MS350-24X. The MS225 end doesn't seem to always report the correct speed from the GUI but it seems to be working perfectly. Some of these are over longer than 30M cable runs and the MS350 end is reporting a 5gbit link on those runs but the Ms225 gbic always says 10gbit.

hmm. I guess I could just use multiple 1:1 NAT rules to achieve this. Is there a limit to how many I can setup? I could leave my default WAN IP with student level filtering, then manually pull out blocks of IP's to give other filtering levels to.

This is a shame. The device is in a school. web filtering is provided offsite by the ISP with filtering rules based on the source IP - so If I want to provided both a 'student' level and 'staff' level of filtering I need to push traffic from two different source IP's I guess I have to use two physical MX devices here or commit to an advanced license and bring the filtering in-house. (unfortunately the school is contracted into the ISP provided filtering for another 2 years so the option of paying the additional money for the advanced license is tricky)

I have an MX device. I have a block of multiple WAN IP's from my ISP. By default all my traffic is NATted out to the world via the default WAN IP of the MX I would like to be able to get the MX device to send traffic out of one of my additional WAN IP's rather than the default. I do not want to do this just for one internal device (a 1:1 NAT rule) but would instead like to send a whole internal subnet out via this additional WAN IP (a Many:1 NAT rule?) for example: I have internal subnets/VLANs 192.168.0.0/24,192.168.1.0/24, 192.168.2.0/24 I have WAN IP range 8.8.8.0/29. I want all traffic from 192.168.0.0/24 to go via 8.8.8.1, all traffic from 192.168.1.0/24 to go via 8.8.8.2, all traffic from 192.168.2.0/24 to go via 8.8.8.3 Is this possible using a single MX device?

Is anybody using the Network Access Control/NAC features on their MR wireless? Does it support windows 10? The documentation seems really out of date and only mentions windows XP, vista and 7!

This seems like a bit of a gap in the solution! So if I have MR wireless and an MX appliance and want to do BYOD access based on an AD group and identify my users for web browsing then my only option is to have 2 completely separate user logon events!

I have both an MX appliance and Meraki wireless. It is all running over a non-meraki layer 3 switch with multiple VLANS. The Meraki devices are setup in separate networks rather than a combined network as we need to use client tracking by IP on the MX appliance. We have multiple BYOD SSID's on the meraki wireless which use RADIUS to authenticate user connections (our RADIUS servers are linked to active directory). Once a user is authenticated their username is shown in the Meraki wireless client list against the client. On the MX appliance we have it AD linked, and this allows it to identify all our domain-joined clients. However the BYOD clients are only shown as IP addresses here, and the username is not detected (I assume that the AD agent does not monitor for NPS logon events too) Is it possible to get the MX appliance and the MR wireless to share the user identification details? (without making the MR use a splash screen to request login details from the user a second time!)
