Query on Multiple Meraki AP model in the same network.

Hi Team,

If I have multiple model APs in same network. For example MR33 and MR44.

Now if I want to upgrade the wireless network with the latest firmware version MR31.1.x which doesn't support MR33. I understand the MR33 model will ignore the firmware upgrade.

My query is if the newer version has any new feature and the MR33 won't have that feature, so in that case what will happen if a client connecting to MR44 first and then roams to MR33 AP? Will the feature go away once moved to the MR33?

Hi Raphael,

Thank you for the clarification. One just quick query, in the "Product Firmware Version Restrictions" I could see for MR36, the Maximum supported Firmware is showing as "Current". What exactly that means? Does that mean I no need to upgrade to a latest version at all?

That means that it can run the current latest firmware. In that case that would be MR 32.X.X

Okay. It is currently running on MR30.x.x and still showing as up-to-date. Whereas MR 32.x.x is the latest one.
