Mobile devices are not getting IP address from Meraki DHCP

Hi,

We have 3 ssids configured in our meraki dashboard. Only windows devices are able to connect successfully and get an ip from the dhcp on meraki dashboard. None of the iOS or android devices are gettting an IP. What could be the reason ?

The iOS and Android devices are connecting to the same SSID as the Windows devices? Any device based group policies defined at the SSID? https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Cross-Platform_Content/Creating_and_Applying...

Hi Ryan,

I will share more details. We have the below ssids.

1. Corp

2. Partner

3. Handheld devices

4. Guest.

Guest ssid is getting IP directly from fortinet. All other 3 ssids have dhcp configured on meraki dashboard. We have windows only whitelisted policy defined only in corp ssid and there are no such policies defined for other ssids.

I tried removing the policies defined under corp ssid but still no result. As of now laptops are able to connect to all ssids and getting an IP address successfully. But none of the mobile devices are able to get an IP address from the 3 ssids but from Guest ssid for which the leases are from firewall.

Below is the failure reason from connection log,

Client made a request to the DHCP server, but it did not respond.vlan_id='20' request_ip='unknown' request_server='unknown' details='no_dhcp_response' radio='1' vap='3' channel='100' rssi='35'

Looks like a failure to receive DHCP on VLAN 20. Is VLAN allowed on the switchport connected to the AP?

Have you opened a Support case so they can view your dashboard and review the entire config?

Yes, all the waps are connected to trunk ports with wap management vlan as native vlan. We are still getting ip addresses for the windows devices connected over wifi from all the ssids. But none of the mobile devices are getting ips from any of these ssids. Yes, I am raising a ticket today.
