MR18 or MR30

MR18 or MR30

You get to be wirelessly connected to one of them. Whichever one you choose has a wired connection to the switch so gateway not repeater. Which do you choose?

Networking geek since high school where I got half of a CCNA. Played Marathon II and Infinity over localtalk.
Made many a network over the years, now de facto admin of a retreat center with some of this fine Meraki hardware.

Depends on a couple things, device connecting and what the use case, etc.

 

Personally with my current devices/setup MR30 all day.

I like to go with MR18. There are different features, but what I like at most are:-

 

Ingegrated enterprise security and guest access

Hig performance mesh

Automatic RF optimization with spectrum analysis
