Just to be clear - Client Balancing has been available since firmware 25.x. The way it works though has changed under 29.x Both iterations are described here:

r29 becoming stable will take some time (as yet unknown) - as it will need to go through successful Release Candidate (RC) phase first. If you have a test/non-critical environment at all, where you can test 29 now/soon, it will both help refine feature operations and help uncover any issues (you can work with Meraki Support on any issues seen with firmware, even if they are on a Beta version.). Wider adoption / testing of new firmware always helps speed up progress towards Stable status.
