Customizing NAS-Identifier

Hello,

How can I provide my own value in that field?

I know that Ruckus allows to change it, Aruba also allows. What about Meraki?

Thanks

Check the documentation.

Oh, I saw that post, I just wanted to confirm it with some sort of official documentation, because this is show-stopper for us to go with Meraki.
So, the answer is - Impossible. That is very sad

Why not? You can use other radius attributes. Adapt to changes.

Like what? What attribute I can modify?

And just to clarify, the same attribute should be returned to me in accounting messages as well.

I'm not talking about modifying, but using another attribute. Why is using a specific NAS-ID so important if you have other attributes with unique identifiers?

Sorry, I cannot provide more details about why it is so important for us to send custom value in that or any other filed that appears in Accounting as well, as it will disclose our private architecture info.

But just trust my word - it is important for us, And probably this is why other vendors have implemented such customization as they also agree that this is important.
