CW9614i access point not registering to cloud

Hi All

I recently deployed a Meraki CW9614i AP, it sites behind a MX appliance.

It worked yesterday, but since a reboot it will no longer connect to the cloud. I can still pink its LAN ip, I also see the logs on the Meraki where it is trying to reach out to Meraki.

Why would this happen?

Also, we have the AP on DHCP using internal DNS servers, however I can see the AP reaching out on 8.8.8.8, is the DNS hardcoded into the access points?

Cheers

Hi @carlto

All the Meraki devices Pings to either 209.206.55.10 or 8.8.8.8. One ping per second. to make sure there is internet connectivity this is done from the backend:

Kind of a big deal

Have you had any recent changes to your network? Like any changes to your firewall rules?

You can also check the Local Status Page of your access point, where you may have some indication of the problem.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.
