Adding Legacy Wireless APs to Meraki Dashboard

Dear Community,

RE: Integrating Cisco AIR-AP3802I-B-K9 with Existing Meraki Network

I currently have several Cisco Aironet AIR-AP3802I-B-K9 access points from a previous network deployment. We have since migrated to a fully Meraki-based environment.

I would like to know whether it is possible to integrate these legacy Aironet APs into our existing Meraki network to help address a few coverage blind spots.

Has anyone successfully implemented a similar setup, or is there a supported method to incorporate these devices into a Meraki-managed environment?

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

No, it's not possible.

The only models that can be integrated into Meraki are those listed on the official website.

You can use them, but be aware that there will be no roaming or RF information exchange between them, so I would avoid that.

The above comment is correct. No support for these directly in dashboard as cloud managed. You can add them to dashboard for monitoring if you meet the requirements in this doc.

But as @alemabrahao mentioned it wouldn't provide seamless or coordinated roaming with the Meraki cloud managed APs.

Also note that if you do use them, AirMarshall will see the 3802's as an attack.  Make sure attack containment is disabled.
