Roaming between AP is not working

I have configured 30 MR42 Access Points with radius authentication.

when user moves between AP's, user is not connecting to near by AP. user has to disconnect and connect again to get connected to nearby AP.

so how to make seamless connectivity for users between AP's without any interruption.

bad cliënt drivers or settings (roaming is client decision)

to high power levels or bad positioning of ap

You can try put a higher minimum bitrate

Ok sir,

thanks..

Do i need to enable layer 3 roaming option in addressing and traffic to roam between APs. or in bridge mode option itself clients will roam between AP's.

thanks and regards,

that depends if you are using more then 1 vlan for 1 ssid you would need L3 roaming.  if you have only 1 vlan attached to a ssid bridged mode should work fine

Yes.. we are using different VLAN's for different SSID's.

1 vlan each ssid = bridged roaming

more vlans on 1 ssid= L3 roaming

It sounds like you don't have a roaming issue.  It sounds like you are not happy which AP the device is choosing to use.

To make devices want to use a closer AP try increasing the minimum connection speed to 12Mb/s (under SSID settings).

How close are the APs and what Tx power level are they set to?
