New WiFi diagnostics not suggesting best practices.

Liking the new wi-fi health check, but it does need more work.

I have 1 SSID per band so this should be excellent !

But reported as 2 SSID and rated as poor. 😢

I want to be rated against best practices not industry average !

This report is broken for all my Meraki organisations. Obviously a Dashboard-Bug.

Yeah I've seen that too.
Usuall 2 to 3 SSID's is normal for an enterprise so I don't know where the get the 1 from.

@GIdenJoe we often have 6-8 SSIDs though some are only on one band or the other... 😈

Ouch that's alot.

But yes per band in any area you should strive to remain at three SSID's max and never exceed five.
There is a well known table made by Wlanpro's that shows the lost airtime due to nothing but management frames due to the number of SSID's in the air and at what minimum datarate they are sent.

The table you mentioned is from Andrew van Nagy, very good.

But the named amount of SSIDs are not necessarily too much. Most important is how many SSIDs are there on 2.4GHz and how many APs on the same channel you have.
