License Query - Show invalidated licenses

Hi,

A number of devices we have claimed to our Meraki inventory are showing as invalidated licenses. (When you select Orgainisation-License Info-Show invalidated licenses) All these devices were claimed successfully at the time typically by entering the Cisco Order Number on the shipment information page. (licenses were purchased with the order). Any advice please on getting these devices licenses validated as they should be?

Can you show a print screen? 

 

Is it a co-termination license or per-device license?

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Licenses typically show invalidated if they've been claimed and then unclaimed in the dashboard.

Check the org change log to verify if that's the case.

Otherwise it's probably best to contact Meraki support to confirm the reason they have been invalidated

A couple of common reasons for this:

A license has been moved to another Org

The license was ordered during a 'year on us' promo - which sees (say) your 5 yr license replaced with a 6 yr one.

But Support will indeed be able to tell you precisely what happened in connection to your speecific licences
