Intel Wireless Adapter - Client loses internet connectivity after reauth while using WPA2-ENTERPRISE

Hi everyone ,

 

Just wanted to share a quick find that would have saved us couple days of troubleshooting !

 

Issue : Client are getting disconnected from the Wifi after a reauthentication on a WPA2-ENTERPRISE SSID.

 

Since the MX and Z do not have a configurable re-auth timer ( which is 1 hour ) you can experiment this issue frequently. This issue is not based on the Wifi hardware used but based on the wireless adapter used.

 

Intel has strongly recommended to update the wireless adapter drivers to 22.110.1.1.

There has been a lot of issues with Intel WiFi drivers.

 

Another common problem with the Intel drivers is poor throughput or high latency when running on battery.  You need to disable power saving on the WiFi NIC to prevent this:
