An important thing to keep in mind is that most non-ASCII characters are valid as well. If it's not compatible the SSID page won't save (unfortunately 🦠is one such character). The longest SSID that you can configure is 32 bytes which means you're limited in the number of emojis you can use. This calculator will tell you how many bytes you're using. # is an easy way to force the SSID to the top of the list.
Even though this is just for fun, be sure to lock down the SSID with a gibberish pre-shared key (that you don't share).
