Captive Portal issues with Galaxy Z Flip

We provide a captive portal based page that uses meraki auth to provide internet access to employee's with personal devices.  All devices have no issues except a few Galaxy Z-Flip devices that are unable to authenticate.  The same user name and password works on another device but fails on the Z-Flip devices.  I'm thinking that whatever browser is used by these phones to automatically present the captive portal isn't sending the inputted text values across properly.

Has anyone else seen this and if so any recommendations on how to address the issue?

Is there a way to specify which default browser android uses to present the captive portal?  Does Android present pages with Chrome or the Samsung Internet browser?  I'm an iOS user so I'm not overly familiar with Android.
