Kind of a big deal

If your Mikrotik device can act as a RADIUS server for external devices using 802.1x, probably. You may need to dig up instructions on how to do that for your particular equipment, but Mikrotik's wiki is pretty great and there's a decent community for them.

As DHCP and RADIUS are used for completey different tasks: what are you trying to achieve?

Do you want to use the AP as DHCP relay? Or are you referring to authentication via RADIUS?

Yeah,

The user will access the network/internet using Meraki AP and is authenticated via an external RADIUS Server/ Database.

Hi, can we do it using MikroTik as the Radius Server?

Thanks so much 🙂

Yup, easy as pie. We have our APs either use local Meraki DHCP or external DHCP, then radius is handled by separate external servers. The only real core requirement is for the tunnel to be up to hit the external servers.

So this is also applicable with Meraki MX Devices right?

thanks so much 🙂
