reset an unreachable 9300 switch with bad local ip

Hello

I can't reset a 9300 switch set on meraki dashboard.

I entered a bad local ip and now he dissapeared from the dashboard (unreachable), i can't unclame it and can't manage it from the console neither change the ip adress.

I tried the mode button and the reset one (over 20sec) but it only reboot because it is set on meraki cloud

Please send some help

As far as I know, this change can only be made through the Meraki Dashboard.

Locate the device in the Meraki Dashboard, remove it from the network, and finally remove it from your inventory.

Once this process is complete, you can reactivate the device.

If it doesn't work, I suggest you contact Meraki support.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

If holding down the mode button for 21 seconds does not do the trick, you can try and connect to the local status page of the switch. Connect a laptop to the Aux port on the back panel of the switch. When connected, browse to 198.18.0.1.

Unless it has managed to check into the dashboard, I don't believe it is possible to log in via the local status page, as no password is configured.

Just once, I have had to RMA a 9300 because we couldn't get back in and recover it ...

Pro tip - use DHCP where possible for its management address.
