The MX95/MX105 does not come online when using auto-negotiate mode

Hi all,

Anyone encounter the following issues: How to resolve it?

  1. The MX95/MX105 does not come online when using auto-negotiate mode.  This issue occur for the secondary WAN port as well.
  2. Our benchmark; The MX64 does come online with 1G/full auto-negotiate to the same upstream device. running firmware version MX15.44; also tested with other device Resident Gateway (RG) as a benchmark and the device successfully get online with auto-negotiate mode.
  3. The MX95/MX105 does come online when set to 100M/full, but only gets 100M/half duplex at upstream device.
  4. MX95 and MX105 currently running firmware version MX16.9

Did you plug in the cable first. Then boot the mx?

Did you try another cable?

3.  Thats normal if you have one side set to full duplex and the other to auto

4. Try updating the mx to 16.15 and then try connect it again?

I'd be tempted to try MX 16.15 as well, as they are a new line of MXs.

Thanks all. yes, I will get customer to use 16.15 instead
