Switch registers in DNS with correct name including mac address.
How can I prevent my switches from using it's name including mac address when using DHCP.
Just want that it uses it's name without MAC address.
Example:
Now it is registered in DHCP/DNS [switch-hostname]-[mac].domain.com
I want it to register in DHCP/DNS like [switch-hostname].domain.com
Is this possible?

As far as know it's not possible.
The server identifies it using its media access control (MAC) address, which prevents the accidental configuration of multiple devices with the same IP address.
I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.
