Switch firmware upgraded in network without admin

Hi Team, We have notices that all meraki switches firmware upgraded without any admin initiation. It means, no upgrade scheduled but still the upgrade happenned without any notice. Does anyone experience this behavior?

Usually when you have a very old firmware the update is automatically done by Meraki. However, they usually notify the Admins via email about the schedule.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

If you don't keep the firmware up to date on your switches by scheduling them yourself, Meraki will automatically schedule it.

Admins will get an email warning them about this happening.

One thing to add is that I've seen occasionally that Meraki will automatically schedule upgrades for firmware that has just been released, even when you're running a recent version.

As always though, Administrators receive an email with plenty of warning and the upgrade can be cancelled/rescheduled at any time.
