Switch Looping when adding another Switch

Can anyone help, in my case, when connecting the Unify switch from the Meraki switch, there is a loop and the internet connection is slow and sometimes in the Dashboard monitor for Meraki, there is a Misconfigured DNS and the connection is intermittent.

Are you connected to a trunk port? What is the STP configuration like?

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

The following is a display of the port settings from the Core Switch to the Distribution Switch.Screenshot 2025-10-14 005330.png

And what about the STP priority? This looks like an STP problem to me. Probably when you connect this switch there is a new STP election for the network?

Configure the ports on each switch, that are used to connect to the other switch, to be trunk ports using a native VLAN1 of 1.  Make whatever other changes are required to make this config valid.

It seems to me that this loop is causing network instability and DNS errors. You can try enabling Spanning Tree Protocol on both switches and check for redundant connections. It is also worth making sure that your Meraki switch has the correct DNS settings to prevent intermittent connectivity.

Maybe you should mirror that downstream port to another port on the MS switch.
If the moment you connect that Unify and you see many repeated packets you are probably having a loop downstream and need to fix that first.
