Meraki switch MS120-8LP

I am new to Meraki.  I want to connect an MS120 to my existing network port so I can connect my voip phones and laptop to the Meraki and be on my company network.  When I connect my network cable to one of the ports on the Meraki, I’m not able to connect.  My network port is vlan 10, the Meraki ports I think are all vlan 1.  My network port is an access port.  How must I connect/configure  my Meraki switch ports and network port to get this working?

a meraki switch is not different then other vendors.

most common is to connect both switches with a trunk and allow the vlans you want to access on both sides. all other ports you can set as access ports and define the data and voice vlan you desire

Do you have control over the switch you are plugging into?

The port on the swithc you are plugging into should really be set as a trunk port.
