Managment port stack local page

Hi everyone,

Could someone please explain to me why, when I'm on the Local Status page, only one of the switches shows "Member: Yes" in the stack, while the rest show "No"?

However, when I check the Dashboard, all three switches show both Stack Ports 1 and 2 as green.

Thank you!

I believe YES is an indication of Stack Master whereas NO is an indication of a Stack Member.

I believe so (yes).  The active Stack Master is yes.  No indicates they are stack members (i.e., not active stack master).

Another question: What is the password required to set up the port on the local status page of the 9300-M? I'm currently testing using the admin serial password left blank.

I always have doubts about this—if these devices were previously joined to the customer's cloud, does that mean the password is the same as the one used there? Also, I'm noticing that the interface looks different now. The password is no longer visible. I believe that in past years, it used to be possible to see it.

If it's already connected to the dashboard, you can enter a NEW password (show if necessary) then select Update Password.

It seems to be blank, but I believe that even if you change the password, it always appears blank and you can’t see the password in this new version. I just believe that — I’m not sure

so  I tested connecting using the admin serial number without a password — nothing happened

For the other question - you might have already read this?

MR devices running MR 32+ firmware, MX devices running MX 19+ firmware, MS devices running MS 17+ firmware and MS390/Catalyst devices running CS(17+) or IOS-XE 17.15+ firmware will use the username admin and the password will be the serial number (Cloud ID) of the device (upper case letters and dashes).

All devices running other firmware versions will use the serial number (Cloud ID) of the device (upper case letters and dashes) as the username with no password.
