MS425 Stack remodling πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Hi people !
I have a big case to resolve before act...

Actually, we have a stack of MS425-16 stacked by QFSP ports and firm 14.33.

The target is a stack of 4 MS425-16 stacked by SFP+ ports.

My questions, before do something, are:

 - When i'll kill the existing stack, are my MS425 lose their conf ?

 - And, will the futur members of the stack of 4 DL the latest firm after reboot ?

Thanks for advance for your precious help

Tom

No, if you're just going to exchange

the connection from QSFP to SFP and add new members no configuration will be lost, and the switches will likely lose communication with the Meraki cloud for a brief moment and probably will reboot.

Hi,

Thank you for you lightning answer 😊

We think about 2 scΓ©narii at 1st:
modify de stacking port and just add the new members

or

Kill and rebuilt brand new stack

But if just by changing the stacking port and add the new members it s ok, it sounds good !!

Thank you .

We will keep you in touch with how things will go
