MS Licencing - SKU Licence and feature

Hi Team,

But I would like to know if you have a licence scheme that includes SKU licence and supported features for Meraki MS products.

I have already understand that the switches (MS series) and security appliance line (MX series), each hardware model has a different license. But I am a little bit confuse of how to choose an SKU and features supported

Thank you for your help !

Hi @merakifr

Meraki Switches offer following Licensing Types

  1. Enterprise (https://meraki.cisco.com/product/switches/switches-licenses/switches-enterprise-license/ available for all switches
  2. Advanced (https://meraki.cisco.com/product/switches/switches-licenses/switches-advanced-license/) only for MS390 Model

There is no per feature Licensing in Meraki. You get all the features with the license. The L2/L3 features available for the specific model will be enabled with Enterprise License.

Hope this answers your query.

Supported features on ms can also be different depending on model.

Hi @AjitKumar  @PhilipDAth !

Thank you for your explanations.

Is it the same licencing sheme for MV Sen ?
I am also looking for features included in the licence for MV Sence Products

And do I agree that the only two options for MV series in term of licences are,
choose first between co-termination licensing model/ per-device licensing  and then if needed  the duration ?

Thank you

If you don't buy an MS390 (and you should avoid them, buggy) you only have one licence option - Enterprise.  So that just got easier.

Your next choice is the licence duration.  Most companies go for 3 or 5 years.  5 gives you a better pricing deal.  Note that if the licence expires the switch will stop working.  You can of course renew the licence.

This datasheet lists all the models in a table and feature comparison.

@PhilipDAth Thank you for your answer, it's help a lot !
