Configure per port Vlan settings - MX Appliance

Hi,

I am attempting to configure an MX appliance as a standalone switch.  The Device has the per port vlan settings greyed out and I am unable to configure per port settings for Vlans.

Did you select "VLANS" and selected at least one port ?

You won't be able to use MX purely in L2 if that's your intention.

For it to work you need to have the specific SVIs created.

The Per port VLAN settings is greyed out.  I'm not sure where to configure inter-vlan routing.  It seems like OSPF would be overkill.

When you will add your appliance , you will be able to select the ports.

Inter-vlan is enabled by default. You will need ( or not ) L3 firewall rules to allow/deny inter-vlan flows.

I went to the "add devices" section under "network-wide".  It says it was claimed.   Is there a different portion of the dashboard where I need to add the device or is this part you mentioned already done?

For your safety, never share your device's service order number or serial number openly.

Another question, is this MX new or did you buy it second hand?
