Cloud Monitored (Device Config) - Firmware update empty??

Good morning. We've recently migrated all our cloud monitored Catalyst switches (9300 & 9200) too being Cloud monitored (Device Config). While the process was horrendous and full of faults, we eventually got all our switches back into the dashboard, even if they do still have legacy Meraki config on them.

My concern now is that previously when we wanted to upgrade one of the switches, we would go too Organization>Firmware Upgrades>Schedule Upgrades>Cloud Monitored and we could see each enrolled switch, it's current firmware version and whether there was an upgrade available and then schedule in an upgrade for one or more switches. But now, there is nothing shown:

Current firmware deployed is IOS XE 17.15.4. Anyone else having or aware of this issue?

The documentation states that...

“Switches operating in Configuration Source: Device mode are not supported for cloud‑initiated firmware upgrades.”

That is very disappointing considering they used to be supported before the change from original Cloud monitored too new Cloud monitored. May I suggest that this feature is added back in, it was invaluable for our organisation.

Cloud Monitoring End-of-Service Extended to March 31, 2026 : The end-of-service date for Cloud Monitoring has been extended by two months from January 31, 2026 to March 312026, to allow customers additional time to complete their upgrade process. All other terms remain unchanged.

Required Actions for Switches Not Migrated by March 31
Switches not migrated to device configuration mode before March 31 (Cloud Monitoring decommission) will not have their configurations removed automatically as part of the offboarding process and will require manual cleanup of the cloud monitoring specific configuration. To avoid manual intervention, complete all steps outlined in the Required Actions for Switches Not Migrating to Configuration Source: Device Before March 31 section of this documentation.

So we have migrated to 'Cloud Management - Configuration source:Device. I'd would still request that the upgrade option is made available for these enrolled devices, as had been previously available when they were cloud monitored. Seems a bit of a backwards steps, but hopefully it will be a feature added in the near future.
