Client not reachable after some time

Hi everyone,

we have some problems with clients in our network.

After some time, the client is unreachable and the switch port shows no client connected. After a while it comes back online.

If we continuous ping the device the client works fine and is reachable in the network all time.

It looks like the network adapter goes in some kind of sleeping mode?

Can I prevent this somehow from the switch?

Best

Fabian

Unfortunately the system is a truck scale, so no windows etc

And no, Energy Efficient Ethernet is not available in our switches

We have to contact the vendor

Thanks everyone

Is Energy Efficient Ethernet enabled?

As far as I remember, the network cards in the devices don't have any particular configuration.

But it doesn't seem to be a problem with Meraki.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

I have most often seen this with Windows' power-saving settings.

Has power saving turned the machine's screen off when this is happening?
