Cannot get MS 250 to connect over a MPLS circuit.

I am trying to get a MS 250 to replace an edge router and switch. We want to kill 2 birds with one stone. We have an MPLS circuit over an ELAN that connects to the DATA center Firewall. We are getting a solid orange light on the MS 250. The Firewall sends a Arp request it hits the MS 250 and the MS 250 replies, but Firewall cannot hear it. We confirmed with packet captures from MS and Firewall. Our ISP doesn't even see the MAC of the MS 250. We have confirmed the static ip. Which is the same as the edge router. The MS250 is hosting DHCP. Can the ip on the VLAN interface be the same and LAN ip we are using for the switch. Also the Management vlan is on the 172.16.10.0/24 network. I would appreciate any help.

Firewall is at

ip:172.16.10.1

Switch ip config:

ip:172.16.10.2

subnet:255.255.255.0

gateway:172.16.10.1

dns1: 1.1.1.1

dns2: 8.8.8.8

Kind of a big deal

Have you configured the switch's management IP address (which is separate from its layer 3 routed interfaces) to use an IP configuration that can talk directly to its upstream connection?  It can not use itself as a default gateway.
