BiDi SMF 10gig SFP support

Have a location that needs two separate links with only a single functioning pair of single mode fiber.  BiDI

Will be using MS225.

  • Cisco Compatible SFP+ 10GBASE-BX10-U BiDi 1270nm-TX/1330nm-RX 10km DOM Simplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module
  • Cisco Compatible SFP+ 10GBASE-BX10-D BiDi 1330nm-TX/1270nm-RX 10km DOM Simplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module

A pair of these from FS.com work in the MS225, but does Meraki have a supported model available?

Meraki does not officially support BiDi SFP's in MS switches. The official SFP datasheet can be found here: Small-Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) and Stacking Accessories - Cisco Meraki Documentation

However there are a number of community posts that suggest that whilst not officially supported, (as you have found) they may function when connected.

You can use BXD SFP's on Meraki managed/monitored Catalyst switches but on native MS switches it is NOT supported.  The choice of switch is not fitting for this requirement.
