I am looking at this exact same path as well. Vivotek has some really nice features but requires good solid high end hardware to run the software. I love the Meraki concept however I always seem to have issues with playing back footage. Live viewing on Meraki works well however CCTV is mostly used to review past events.
I currently use Nuuo which is not very good which is why I am looking at other vendors.
