32 MT Sensors Per Gateway!

Initially, we could only support 8 MT sensors per gateway....

 

Today, firmware version MR 28.5+ and MV 4.14+ expands that number to 32 MT sensors per eligible gateway! This vastly increases the visibility and intelligence in your environments. 

 

This update applies to all eligible Wi-Fi 5 access points, Wi-Fi 6 access points, and MV smart cameras. Refer to the firmware release notes and MT documentation for more information. 

 

Upgrade your firmware today and take advantage of this expanded functionality.

Is it actually possible to install 32 MT sensors within the range of an MR/MV with them getting enough signal strength...? 😉

@cmr It's actually recommended to have a minimum of 3 temperature/humidity sensors per rack in data centers and certain server rooms to make sure cool air is evenly circulating over the equipment and hot spots are not forming. Combining this setup with other best practices (e.g. hot aisle containment), can actually reduce energy costs and carbon emissions anywhere between 20-50%.

Hi....So on the off chance that I see effectively I could just of course empower the repeater on each non-battery fueled hub I make? The hubs wil possibly utilize a repeater if they can't interface with the entryway straightforwardly? Are there any drawbacks to empowering it, other than utilizing more battery? Will the wireless transmissions be loaded with continuing yelling hubs, similar to a discourse at an Occupy exhibit, and maybe upset wifi?
