meraki mx status of switch is grey unless i access it it will turn to green

why my green status on meraki client for a switch in the network is grey or offline unless i access the switch, please note that the old configuration was on vlan 1 and it was working fine, i deleted vlan 1 i created vlan 10 and 250 vlan 10 configured as native, vlan 250 management so on the switch i configured interfave vlan 250 with ip address

config on meraki native vlan 10, allow vlan all

on switch switchport native vlan 10

                 switchport trunk allowed all vlan

                 switchport mode trunk

switch is CBS 250

CBS 250 cannot be monitored or managed by the Meraki Dashboard, so I'm not sure what you're indicating here.   Can you provide a screenshot or two?

Kind of a big deal

These "clients" ( your switches ) do not produce enough trafic to be considered "online" clients.

OK - that is the Network-wide > clients page, right?   And the Meraki device on that Network is an MX?  My guess would be that maybe they don't generate any interesting traffic otherwise.

While many / most devices would probably appear as a client in the Dashboard if they are routing traffic through the MX, a switch - particularly one not setup for management - is not a client in the same way as a PC, a smartphone etc.   Have you tried running packet captures on the LAN side of the MX, filtered for the switch MAC, to see what traffic (if any) it is generating?

yes but when before the native vlan was 1 it was working fine

I guess it's possible the switch generates more traffic on VLAN1.  ANyway - I'm pretty sure the MX and Dashboard is performing as expected
