block facebook and pubg

Hi,

I have a Cisco Meraki MX250, i have created some group policy and trying to block facebook app and pubg game on it,

I have blocked social networking and gaming on layer 7 firewall and website block catagory aswell but I am unable to achieve my result, these rules have however blocked web access to facebook but facebook app on Andorid and IOS is still accessible.

Can anyone help me on this.

I would do a packet capture on port 53.  Reboot the devices and access the apps.  Note the DNS names being accessed.

Usually, some critical ones are used for processing logins or have "api" in their name.

Block access to those DNS names.  If that doesn't work, block access to all of the DNS names.
