Z3C cellular service stuck 'connecting', never 'connected'.

Hello Folks,

 

I have many Z3Cs in my organization that don't ever register the cellular service in the dashboard. The different SIMs I have (ATT and Verizon) worked with my MiFi and similar devices but not the Z3Cs anymore (v 18.211.2-5). The APNs required are shared and public and I've tried firmware versions from 18.211.(2-5) and none resolve the issue. I have a case with support and they say that the cell modem isn't being recognized. Everything between factory resets to RMA's and 2-hour troubleshooting sessions with Meraki haven't fixed this issue. 

 

The Z4Cs, MX67C's I have deployed work flawless. Anyone else experiencing this?

Is the SIM card activated? Have you tested it on another device such as a smartphone?

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

I see that 18.211.5.1 mentions several Z3C fixes.  Nothing that covers what you describe.  But out of desperation, I would give it a try.
