W11 VPN prompting for username & password despite setting a pre shared key

I'm setting up a new laptop and have followed these instructions

Client VPN OS Configuration - Cisco Meraki Documentation

I've added in the Advance Settings under Security I've added in the preshared key. A ticked the "Use preshared key for authentication"

Despite doing this, when I try an connect to the the VPN windows is prompting for a User name and password.

Is there a step I'm missing?

Kind of a big deal

This is correct, you need a username and password to connect to the VPN.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

You need both, because the preshared key is what authenticates your users' devices and your MX to one another. The username/password is required to authenticate the users themselves
