Hi everyone, I just want to ask if it is normal for a virtual MAC address to automatically change its IP every 5 mins or 10 mins?
Are you referring to the virtual VRRP address that two MXs are using?
Yes, that's the one.
Have you also configured a virtual IP for that WAN connection or do you see this for the internal MX interfaces only?
Hi CptnCrnch, I believe the previous engineer configure a VRRP in the MX since we have a spare MX. So changing of IP and names is normal for them?
The vrrp mac is the same for all vlans, i supose thats why it can show a different ip/mac every time you look
