VPN Failover Queries

Hi Team,

I have a query on S2S VPN Failover. There are some fluctuations with the ISP. So the customer is planning to take a secondary link (4G) and then use it. From the document, I understand that the VPN failover will automatically happen to the secondary link. I am not sure of which device is on the other end, so consider this as a non-meraki site. They need to add our backup internet link as peer ip for the connection. In case, if their device doesn't support the backup peer ip (which I believe) what should be the ideal scenario for having the backup tunnel setup?

The ideal scenario would be to get a reliable ISP link.  🙂

The next best option will be for you to get a Z3 (which is low cost) and put it at their site behind their existing firewall and run it in VPN concentrator mode.  Then you can use AutoVPN to build the VPN.

On their end, they would treat it like a WAN link, and just add static routes via its LAN IP address to get to your site.
