Use laptop as a secondary WAN on MX68

Our Comcast connection keeps dropping, and we don't have a cellular modem to use as backup.  I do have a Verizon Jetpack which works.  I was going to connect the Jetpack WiFi to a laptop, and then connect the laptop to the MX68 by connecting laptop's NIC card connected to MX WAN 2.

Would this work?  Is this a crazy idea?  I couldn't find anything in the forum.

Yeh, as long as you enable connection sharing that should work.

ok, do I need to change any settings in the Meraki dashboard?  Would it detect the WAN 2 and fail over automatically?

You'll need to convert one of the LAN ports to a WAN port in the local status page. Everything else should just work.

Sorry, ignore the convert the port comment. MX68 has 2 WAN ports. My bad.
